Draw Floorplan to generate rows and rack positions.
Use Configuration on the left to adjust inputs first.
Edit per-row bus assignments. Each entry maps a row to its upper/lower USS feeds.
This tool is intended to alleviate some pains for DCOPs when doing initial power infrastructure and rack placement for new construction deployments. In the past, a not-uncommon instance occurs where racks are placed before power sources are installed or labeled, so there is some room for error when the physical placement of racks occurs. This effect compounds if the error is not corrected and additional racks are placed sequentially in line with the rack placed in the wrong position—each additional adjacent rack to a misplaced rack is incidentally placed in the wrong position as well. This means one misplaced rack in a row can have a compounding effect where many multiple racks may need to shift row positions to remedy the original error.
Using some basic algorithmic instructions, this tool builds the server floor rows each with the correct label information using input JSON or optionally the custom power derivation inputs to build the label in the correct position on the bus duct for the MTS and taps for Foxbat 2.0. Using other in-house tools, DCOPs is able to determine the floor placement in millimeters of the rack itself, and that math is used to determine in this application where in the row that rack physically shall be placed, which then lets us calculate the actual row position, and finally will locate the rack MTS row label on the bus duct so that the rack placement can be easily corresponded with the power definition labeling for the source power equipment.
